Name:
The Lesser Ushrit~
The "lesser" comes from it being descended of an ancient, giant trilobite species. "Ushrit" is a combination of the words "usher" and "lit," referring to how it guides around creatures through the dark with its lanterns.


Age:
As long as anyone can remember~
An elder that long passed away often told a story about a small creature that grew into the lesser ushrit.


Gender:
Unknown~
It's assumed to be a male by some, although most refer to it either as "the lesser usherit" or simply "it."


Bio/personality:
Dweller of the deep and shallow~
The lesser ushrit is known for being silent. However, it seems to be a benevolent creature, guiding water creatures through dark or murky water with it's lanterns. It inhabits freshwater, although it moves from bodies of water without a permanent settlement. It is suspected that the ushrit tunnels through the ground to do so, though it has been spotted, rarely, in very shallow water and on land.
